This is the second volume of three volumes on Matthew in the ICC Series. The first volume covered Matthew chapters 1 through 7 and the third volume covers chapters 19 through 28. The authors argue that the division of the text at the end of chapter 7 is highly artificial and arbitrary. The division of the volumes between chapters 7 and 8 has been required solely by the exigencies of printing and does not indicate a caesura. Because this commentary's exegetical comments are based on the original language, knowledge of Greek is a must.
